The Chairman, Joint Negotiating Council, Ekiti State, Comrade Femi Ajoloko has congratulated Ekiti workers for the grace to witness another May Day which symbolizes a new Dawn for workers globally.
Ajoloko who is also the Chairman Joint Health Sector Unions and Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria, said though the economic situation of the country is harsh, workers have every reason to celebrate particularly in Ekiti.
He called on the Federal Government to approve a new minimum wage for workers considering the current realities while appealing to Governor Oyebanji to take a cue from Edo State Governor who has increased salary from 40-70 thousand naira.
While appreciating Governor Oyebanji for the improved welfare for health workers, Ajoloko pleaded with government to look into some areas of concern and agitation for the health workers.
He said: We appreciate our Governor for the great things he has been doing for our workers but we want him to continue to do more.
“We call for implementation of skipping and parity for other health workers as well as none clinicals employed by the Hospital Management Board ( HMB ) since it is a team work
