A cross section of stakeholders in Araromi Ekiti in Ijero Local Government Area of Ekiti State have alleged that the controversy surrounding the installation of new traditional ruler in the community was orchestrated by mischief makers who does not want the peace and progress of the community.
The stakeholders spoke separately when Roundoffnews correspondent visited the community to ascertain fact of the matter.
The stool of the Araromi community became vacant following the demise of the former monarch, Oba Caleb Falomo who joined his ancestors in October, 202I and had not been filled three years after due to disagreement between the contestants to the throne.
Just on Monday, a group of people protested to the Ekiti State House of Assembly calling for the disqualification of Prince Babatunde Adebomi Babalola who was duly nominated by the Ifa divination over series of allegations.
Speaking with Roundoffnews, the President of Araromi Progressive Union who doubles as the head of the warriors of the town, Comrade Olusegun Agboola affirmed that proper traditional process of selecting Obas in the council was adopted and carried out in public glare from which Prince Babatunde Adebomi Babalola was picked by the oracle.

He noted that It was few weeks after the exercise that some very few persons began to raise unnecessary accusations just because their preferred candidate was not nominated.
Comrade Agboola Condemned the various moves of the aggrieved parties to blackmail the Oba elect and portray the community in bad light urging Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji to intervene and take a decisive step that will lay the matter to rest.
Also, Chief Steven Afolayan explained that the narratives about the community and the Oba elect prince Babatunde Adebomi Babalola was not the true picture of things, saying the community is peaceful and in support of the Oba elect not minding various actions to discredit him.
Similarly, one of the elders of the royal family, Prince Adeyinka Olatunji said the community is tired of the controversy and litigations which had retarded her progress calling on government to make a pronouncement and call the mischief-makers to order.
A tour of the community shows that there is no tension as portrayed in the media as the people were seen busy with their daily activities while there is no sign of damage on any building as alleged by some Kingmakers.
