Mary Oso-Omotosho charges newly elected RATTAWU’s Executives to prioritize grassroot information

The Director General Community Communications, Ekiti state, Mary Oso-Omotosho, has called on the newly elected Executives of the Radio, Television, and Theatre Arts Workers Union (RATTAWU) in the state to prioritize grassroot information as a means of development.

She gave the charge in her office, while addressing the newly elected Executives of the RATTAWU, Ekiti State chapter, who paid her a courtesy visit yesterday.

The executives were led by their Chairman, Mrs. Omotolani Popoola with the aim to establish a fruitful relationship between the Union and the office while exploring potential areas of collaboration.

Mrs. Mary Oso-Omotosho who is a Broadcaster and former Union leader, acknowledged the pivotal role of RATTAWU as one of the umbrella housing broadcast media professionals in the country, whil recognizing the challenges they face.

She encouraged the Union to capitalize on the potential of the broadcast industry, emphasizing the enduring influence of radio and television in disseminating grassroots information, and underscoring their inherent value to pioneer development.

Earlier, Mrs. Popoola highlighted the significance of RATTAWU in the media landscape and emphasized the importance of their involvement in the office’s activities to enhance its visibility and impact.

She also appealed to the State Government to extend its support and attention to RATTAWU, mirroring the assistance provided to other media unions and groups in the State.
