Easter: AE 1963 doles out food items to needy

….says government must address inflation, insecurity

A non-Governmental Organization, AE 1963, Ekiti State Chapter has put smiles on the faces of some residents of Ado-Ekiti by distributing food items worth huge amounts of money to them in order to enable them have a fun-filled Easter celebration.

Some of the items are spaghetti, Rice, Garri, Vegetable Oil, Noodles just to mention but a few.

The items were distributed randomly to beneficiaries in many streets within the state capital.

A non-Governmental Organization, AE 1963, Ekiti State Chapter has put smiles on the faces of some residents of Ado-Ekiti by distributing food items worth huge amounts of money to them in order to enable them have a fun-filled Easter celebration.

Some of the items are spaghetti, Rice, Garri, Vegetable Oil, Noodles just to mention but a few.

The items were distributed randomly to beneficiaries in many streets within the state capital.

Speaking during the distribution of the food the state Chairman of the organization, Mr. OLuwaranminise Samuel noted that the essence of the programme was to support the needy and vulnerable persons who may not be able to afford the desired items owing to the current State of the economy.

Mr. OLuwaranminise explained that the Program would be held regularly so as to touch more lives
He urged youths to avoid negative influences that could harm their image and be a good ambassadors of Nigeria.

Also speaking, the Vice Chairman of AE 1963 Architect Ayorinde Adekanbi who said government alone cannot address all societal needs, highlighted the importance of support from those who are better.

He however urged governments at all levels to look into the current economic downturn and provide adequate security for all.

On his part, the pioneer Vice Chairman of the group, Mr. Olatunde Bolaji commended the Executives for upholding the organization’s positive traditions and representing it well.

In a separate interviews, some of the beneficiaries, Mr. Rufus Abioye, Mrs Mercy Julius and Mrs Beatrice Adebisi appreciated the organization for the gesture and prayed that God would continue to provide for them.
