Excitement as NGO distributes food items worth #1.7m to 100 Families

A Non Governmental Organisation, Divine Motivation for Positive Impact Initiative (DMPII) has distributed food items to one hundred families within four communities in Ekiti State in the spirit of Easter.

The food items which were packed in one hundred boxes were distributed randomly to vulnerable families in Iluomoba, Ijan, Ijesa-Isu and Aba Fatunla all in Ekiti State.

Items in the box include, Rice, Beans, Garri, Semovita, Veg. Oil, seasoning, Salt, Spaghetti and Matches.
Addressing newsmen after the distribution exercise, the Coordinator of Divine Motivation for Positive Impact Initiative (DMPII), Mr. Gbenga Emiloju said the gesture was carried out through the support of the Board Members of the organisation, Ekiti Parapo Association, UK chapter, and other partners/friends of the NGO.
He said the target was to ensure that no one goes hungry in the festive season following the economic downturn and high cost of commodities.

He said:”the 2nd Edition of our Programme – 100 Food Boxes for 100 Families was held successfully today, we gave out 100 Food Boxes to 100 Families.

“On behalf of the Board of Trustees of DMPII, I appreciate individuals and organizations that have contributed towards the success of this project and I pray that God will continue to bless and increase you all.

At the various communities visited, the beneficiaries who could not hide their joy appreciated the organisation and the supporters for the kind gesture.
