The Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Polytechnics, SSANIP, Ekiti State Chapter has expressed delight over the increment in the monthly subvention of some tertiary institutions in Ekiti State by Governor Biodun Oyebanji.
The Union was particular about the Ekiti State Polytechnic, Isan and College of Health Sciences and Technology, Ijero.
According to a statement jointly signed by the SSANIP State Chairman, Comrade Sunday Akomolafe, the Ijero Branch Chairman, Comrade Fakiya Sunday Oluwafemi and his counterpart from Isan, Comrade Seun Fabunmi, the union expressed joy about the development because of its immense benefits to members of staff and the image of the institutions affected.
The union leaders appreciated Governor Biodun Oyebanji for the positive decision which they said would enhance teaching, research and learning and also assist management to address pressing needs that had over time slowed down pace of development of the institutions.
They affirmed that the senior staff of the institutions would continue to put up their best and redouble their efforts at work so as to justify the investment of government in the institutions.
