INSECURITY:COUNCIL OF ELDERS COMMENDS EKITI CP

…calls for stakeholders support to end insecurity

Ekiti Council of Elders has commended the professional policing of the State under the Commissioner of Police,  Mr Moronkeji Adesina since his arrival in the State in April 2022.

The Council gave the commendation during an interface with the Police on further securing the State in face of the unending security challenge in the Country.

The president of the Council, Prof Joseph Oluwasanmi who was represented by Chief Deji Fasuan charged the Commissioner of Police to be more pro-active and to further beam searches on the hinterland so that the kidnappers, bandits and other anti-social elements will not have any hiding place in Ekiti.

Reacting, the Police boss, Mr Morenikeji Adesina   thanked the Council of Elders for their sustained collaborative efforts at ensuring that the State is safe for all and sundry.

He promised that the police woukd continue to discharge its duties to the best of its ability towards effectively policing the State.

Earlier, the Council of Elders  interacted with the State Goverment, Religious Leaders, the Oloris and Iyalojas on the need for all hands to be on deck at making Ekiti State safe and secured for living.

The Council of Elders will further be having an interface with the Ekiti Council of Traditional Rulers on the same issue on Tuesday 26 July 2022 at the Traditional Rulers Chamber, Old Governor’s Office, Ado Ekit.
