Former Special Adviser on Religious Masters, to former Governor, Ayo Fayose, Pastor (Dr) Seyi Olusola, has said.

He said in a statement that the heinous act has sent shockwaves through the communities, leaving residents in a state of disbelief, anger, and mourning.

The slain Obas, the Onimojo of Imojo Ekiti, Oba Olatunde Olusola and Elesun of Esun Ekiti, Oba Babatunde Ogunsakin were said to be returning from a meeting when they were attacked on Monday evening between Oke-Ako and Ipao Ekiti.

According to him, the victims were friends and brothers known for their leadership, wisdom, and dedication to their people and that as investigations unfold, the communities stand united in their quest for justice and the preservation of their cherished traditions.

He said late Obas were beloved figures who had ruled with grace and wisdom for years and that the manner in which the Kabiyesis were slain was nothing short of barbaric, leaving the townspeople horrified and deeply saddened.

“ The details of the atrocity have been withheld out of respect for the victims and their families, but suffice it to say that the act was characterized by extreme violence and cruelty. The loss of these two kings has left a void that will be difficult to fill. The Kabiyesi of Esun Ekiti and Olumojo were not were not only a symbol of tradition and cultural heritage but also a unifying force for the people.

“The impact of these murders extends far beyond the immediate families of the victims. The entire region now faces an uncertain future as the communities grapple with the loss of their leaders and the disruption caused by these horrific crimes.

“In the wake of these senseless acts, the affected communities have come together to demand justice. Law enforcement agencies have launched a thorough investigation into the murders, leaving no stone unturned in their pursuit of the perpetrators. The townspeople, determined to ensure that the legacy of their fallen kings is not tarnished, are cooperating fully with the authorities and providing any information that might aid in the investigation.

“As investigations continue, the communities stand united in their quest for justice, vowing to preserve their heritage and honor the memory of their fallen kings. The hope is that through collective strength and resilience, the towns will overcome this tragedy and emerge stronger than ever before”, Dr. Olusola said.
