…as Chairman, High Chief Ogunsakin seeks for more assistance from Government
The Association of Ekiti State Traditional Chieftaincy Title Holders has offered prayers for Nigeria, Ekiti State, Governor Biodun Oyebanji, all sons and daughters of the state to achieve greatness and success in this year 2024.
The prayer which was held in Ado Ekiti was to commit year 2024 to God’s hands and appreciate his grace and opportunity to witness the new year in good and sound health.
Speaking during the prayer session, the Chairman of Traditional Chieftaincy holders in Ekiti State, High Chief Olu Ogunsakin who is the Asolo of Ikole Ekiti commended Governor Biodun Oyebanji for his contributions to development of the state in the areas of road construction, education and welfare of citizens.
High Chief Ogunsakin appealed to the Governor to continue to see to the welfare of Traditional Chiefs in Ekiti State by providing vehicle for them and other necessary facilities .
The Chairman advised members of the association to be guided in their dealings and work harder to achieve the set-goals of the Association.
High Chief Ogunsakin used the forum to appealed to younger generation to desist from any activities that could not add value to their lives and the society.
Also, the Public Relations Officer of the Association, High Chief Ayodeji Esan, Odofiyin of Iyin-Ekiti noted that the association would not relent in his efforts to promote unity and peace across towns, villages and communities across Ekiti State.
In his sermon during the prayer session, Rev Dr. M.O Ojo of the Shekinah Gospel Ministry, Okela , Ado Ekiti commended the efforts of traditional Chiefs in Ekiti state for promoting Peace and unity in their various communities, urging them to continue serving the Lord who gave them grace and privilege to be alive.
The Cleric admonished the Chiefs to always put God first in all their endeavors believing that the Lord shall grant all the Association’s requests in this new year.
