Immigration Comptroller Commends NYSC for Youth Development Initiatives

The Nigeria Immigration Service commends the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) for its pivotal role in youth development, recognizing the scheme’s significance to the nation.

Comptroller Adekunle Dauda Jimoh pcc+, recently appointed Comptroller in Ekiti State, conveyed this appreciation during his first courtesy visit to the NYSC Ekiti State Secretariat in Ado Ekiti on Tuesday, January 23, 2024.

Expressing his delight at the warm reception by the NYSC Ekiti State Coordinator, Alhaji Riko Abdullahi Shuaibu, Comptroller Adekunle Dauda Jimoh emphasized the importance of fostering collaboration between the Immigration Service and the NYSC. He commended the NYSC’s dedication to youth empowerment and acknowledged the visit as a gesture to strengthen ties between the two federal agencies.

“I want to appreciate the State Coordinator for his warm welcome. The NYSC Office is the first office I am visiting after being appointed the head in Ekiti Command. I am here to solidify the existing relationship between the two federal agencies,” said Comptroller Adekunle Dauda Jimoh.

In his response, Alhaji Riko Abdullahi Shuaibu, the NYSC Ekiti State Coordinator, expressed his joy at receiving the Comptroller. He highlighted the NYSC’s role as a youth empowerment organization, equipping Nigerian youths to face the realities of life. He also acknowledged the consistent positive response of the Immigration Service in the state to NYSC invitations.

The visit included the presentation of NYSC publications to the Comptroller by Alhaji Riko Abdullahi Shuaibu, as well as a group photograph, signifying the commitment to collaboration for the betterment of Nigerian society.
