Clerics across the country have been urged to let their preachings centre on promotion of love of God for humanity.
The founder of Holy Trinity Authority Prophetic Church International, Ikere road, Ado-Ekiti, Prophet James Omitade gave the advice while speaking with newsmen in Ado-Ekiti.
Prophet Omitade stressed the need for Clerics both in Christian and Islamic religions to preach moral understanding, good behaviour and be contented with whatever they have.
“They should let their followers know that they can not have everything in life and whatever they pursue in life and they can not get it, they should not believe that it is the enemy that debar them from getting it”.
“It is because preachings and words of exhortation have gone wrong, that is why the society is like this”.
According to Prophet Omitade, despite the fact that Churches keep springing up n daily basis, the society is in dangers because what Cleris preach centres around what everyone can gain.
“We preach about glory, prosperity and worldly inheritance, without teaching them how to be selfless, that is why everybody is rushing about what they can get”.
Prophet Omitade said telling the congregations the truth, irrespective of their status would make the society a better place to live.
“According to the Holy Bible, the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom, so we should always put the fear before anything we do”.
“The political office holders and bigwigs do to Churches and Mosques to seek divine help, the truth should be made known to them in order to have positive change of attitude”.
