JOB CREATION: AKINLAYO DAVIDSON-KOLAWOLE LIFTS SIXTY CONSTITUENTS OUT OF POVERTY

…promises to reduce number of unemployed Nigerians

Sixty youths in Ekiti North Federal Constituency have been trained in renewable energy and system security such as installation of solar power, CCTV, Inverter, Onboard diagnosing, Intercom installation among others.

The training which lasted for ten days was sponsored by a member of the House of Representative, Hon Akinlayo Davidson-Kolawole in partnership with Bamidele Olumilua, University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere Ekiti.

The youths were also presented with certificates after the training facilitated by Hon Akinlayo Davidson- Kolawole who represent Ekiti North Federal Constituency two comprises Ido-Osi, Moba and Ilejemeje Local Governments will be employed by Bamidele Olumilua university to train Students of Secondary Schools across Ekiti State.

Speaking at the programme held in Ikotun Ekiti, Hon Akinlayo Davidson-Kolawole represented by Mr Bola Ojo said more of such are still in pipeline and urged the beneficiaries to ensure that they put knowledge gained into practice.

According to him, do not hide the knowledge under pillow but practicalise it to justify the money spent by the organiser because to whom much is given much is expected.

Also, representative of the vice Chancellor, Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology Ikere Ekiti, Dr Foyeke Ibimilua affirmed that the opportunity was a rare one, saying the program would make the beneficiaries become employer of labour.

She explained that it was something to leverage on to feed their family and be employer of labour rather than seeking for white colar jobs that was not available.

In his remark, the Managing Director of BUGOTAKE Technology that traiined the youths, Enginer Olusegun Dada, said knowledge needed for them to be professionals in the field of renewable energy and system security had been embeded in them.

On his own, the the special Adviser on Chiefs and Traditional Matters to Hon Akinlayo Kolawole, High Chief Olufemi Ajiblola urged the beneficiaries to see the training as an opportunity to build a technology driven society.

In his address, Chairman of the APC in Ekiti State, Chief Paul Omotoso urged the youth to use the opportunity to add value to humanity, create job opportunities and reduce the numbers of unemployed youths in Ekiti.

Represented by the Party Financial Secretary, Mr Dele Fatile noted that the programme was inline with the vision of present administration led by Governor Biodun Oyebanji to ensure that Ekiti youth were fully engaged and relevant among their counterparts.

Chief Omotosho who commended Hon Akinlayo kolawole for the achievement urged others lawmkers to follw suit and appealed to the beneficiaries to justify the purpose of the programme.

Some of the beneficiaries including Olasunkanmi Adeniyi thanked Hon. Akinlayo Davidson-Kolawole for the gesture, saying they would use the knowledge gained to contribute to socio-economic development of Ekiti and Nigeria.
