Orojo affirmed that Global Fund C19RM/RSSH project has been a success.

According to him the project has gone a long eay at preventing and combating some  diseases, saying government needed to also play its own role so as to ensure better access to health care.

Orojo co firmed that, a alot of health workers now come to work regularly  and even some dilapitated structures in the health facilities were renovated through the project and the community is now gradually taking ownership of the health facilities in their areas.

“It’s a very good programme because it opened our eyes to a lot of issues that is going on in our health facilities where the  grant is being implemented at community level”

“In the country,TB is a disease of the poor and if you look at this programme its been funded by global fund and the larger percentage of the money for TB program is meant for procurement and maintenance of patients, procurement of drugs and laboratory services”

“But for us to have more cases in TB programme,Government need to support the program at the grassroot level, support outreach programmes in the communities”

“I believe that though there is paucity  of funds from that of the government but nevertheless, we still expect government to give us a counterpart  fund to support Global fund because global fund is meant to fill the gap”
