NUJ 2023:FRCN Staff Kayode Babatuyi Obtains Nomination Form for Chairmanship Seat

A staff of Radio Nigeria, Progress FM,Ado Ekiti, Kayode Babatuyi has obtained his form of intent to contest the Chairmanship seat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Ekiti State

Babatuyi led other contestants on his train to obtain their forms for available positions from the electoral committee.

Presenting the forms to the contestants at the Union building in Ado Ekiti, Chairman of the electoral body, Alhaji Yaqub Popoola urged them to make their campaign issue based and desist from anything that could truncate existing peace in the union.

In an interview, the Chairmanship Candidate, Mr Kayode Babatuyi promised to build on the achievements of the outgoing Chairman, Mr Rotimi Ojomoyela and sought for support of members during and after the election.

Mr Babatuyi who is also the incumbent Secretary of the Union appreciated those that graced the programme and promised to justify the confidence reposed in him.

Earlier, the General Manager of Progress FM Ado Ekiti, Dr Adebola Agbaje represented by the Manager News, Mr Bunmi Oluwalana expressed confidence that Mr Babatuyi would perform excellently if given opportunity to run the affairs of Ekiti NUJ.

Other contestants are Mr Seun Ogunsakin of the information Chapel, vying for the position of Secretary, Mr Bidemi Sikiru of On-Air Chapel, contesting the position of Treasurer, Mr Lawrence Ibitoye, eyeing the position of Financial Secretary, Mr. Victor Akinkuolie seeking the position of assistant Secretary and Mrs. Olubunmi Ibiteye who is seeking to return as auditor.
