BSES NUJ ELECTS NEW EXECUTIVES

In a transition of power, the Broadcasting Service of Ekiti State (BSES), on monday got new leadership to oversee the affairs of the union for another three years.

During the election, Kelechi David emerged as chairman, Dayo Adeleye became the Secretary, Iyabo Olowokere Treasurer and Abiola Ogunrinde Ass. Secretary.

In his remarks, the Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ekiti State Council, Comrade Rotimi Ojomoyela tasked the new Committee members to be united for the benefits of the Union.

The Chairman, represented by the Secretary of the Union, Comrade Kayode Babatuyi, stressed that unionism is a leveler, saying “irrespective of who is in power, we should understand we are one family.”

He also urged members of the Union to attend monthly meetings and render support towards the development of the Union.

In a remark, the Chairperson of the National Association Women of Journalists (NAWOJ), Alhaja Fatima Bello emphasised that all members should strive to bring pride to the union and their colleagues.

The Director, News and Current Affairs Department, Akinwale Olaoye congratulated the new executives, urged them to be disciplined and complete the ongoing building project.

On his part, the elected Chairman of the chapel, kelechi David appreciated the union for their support, promising to serve better.

David also added that his tenure will focus on the welfare of the members and ensure that the BSES bill before the State Assemby is passed to law on time.
