Nollywood Comic Actor, John Okafor, better known as Mr Ibu has undergone surgery to remove one of his legs to keep him alive.
This was revealed on his official Instagram handle on Monday.
ROUNDOFFNEWS recalled that, Last month, in a viral video posted by the Actor on his verified Instagram account, the actor was seen soliciting for help and prayers from fans concerning his health.
According to Mr Ibu, he had been in the hospital for some weeks and doctors said his legs would be amputated if their next line of action does not work out.
His family likewise appealed to Nigerians to support the actor, revealing the numbers of surgeries he had earlier updergone.
The statement read in parts “As of 1 pm, noon today, Daddy has gone through 7 successful surgeries but to keep him alive and increase his chances of recovery one of his legs had to be amputated.
“This development has been hard on us all but we’ve had to accept it as Daddy’s new reality to keep him alive.
“Thank you, everyone, the Okafor family is grateful and we don’t take you for granted. In due time, Daddy will personally acknowledge everyone who supported him during this period as soon as he’s stable.
