Family set to empower widows in remembrance of renowned journalist, Prince Adelusi

The 10th year remembrance of the pioneer Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Ekiti State Council who was also a former Vice President, Zone B, Prince Femi Adelusi known as “Omo Funrae”comes up on Tuesday 7th of November 2023.

The programme is organized by the family of the deceased in conjunction with the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ Ekiti State Council.

During the programme, sixty widows will be empowered by the family of the deceased in honour of the late Prince of Ado Ekiti and renowned journalist of note who died in 2013 shortly after his retirement from the service of Ekiti State Government.

A statement jointly signed by the family and NUJ leadership says the event will take place at the NUJ State Secretariat, Ado-Ekiti by 10am.

Dignitaries expected at the event include; Alhaji Hassan Olufemi, CEO of Femson Soap as Chairman; Lady Bobola Olawole as Chairperson; Prof. Tinuola Olufemi as Guest Speaker and Ademiluyi Tope as Special Guest.

Other Special Guests are; Fakuade Oluwaseun; Prof. Adegun Patrick, Adeyemi Tunji from Sterling Bank; Chief Esan, a brother to Dr Adelusi; Mrs Ayeni Dunni and all NUJ memnbers.

All Journalists and members of the public are enjoined to grace the occasion.
