…says he is alive, well

One time Nigeria Military Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon recently debunked reports of his demise, saying that, he is alive and well.
This is coming after various circulated social media reports about his death at age 89.
However, Vanguard comfirmed through a telephone conversation with the retired General that he is alive and well.
More so, ROUNDOFFNEWS gathered that, the speculations was borne out of mistaken identity, following the demise of a man who bore the name Gowon, Professor Samuel Gowon Edoumiekumo, who happens to be the immediate Past Vice Chancellor of the Niger Delta University in Bayelsa State who reportedly died on Saturday.
