Excitement as Initiative for Girl Child Liberation Donates School Bags, learning materials to Vulnerable Students

As schools resume on Monday, the founder of Initiative for Girl Child Liberation Mrs Tolulope Akinyemi distributed school bags and learning materials to some female children in the state.

The effort aimed to address the challenges faced by those who are most vulnerable and in need within the society was held at Heritage Glorious Intercessory Prayer Ministry Odò Uro, Ìyìn Ekiti and Ajilosun in Ado Ekiti where over 100 girl and boy child benefitted.

Mrs Akinyemi said that recognizing the growing number of families struggling to put food on their tables, she thought it wise to gather donations and distribute essential school materials to those in need.

According to her this would not only provide sustenance but also serve as a symbol of hope, reminding everyone that they are not alone in their struggles.

She said recognizing education as a powerful tool for breaking the cycle of poverty, the materials given to the pupils was to assure them that they can live to fulfill their dreams.

“As these initiatives continue to inspire and drive change, it is our hope that the spirit of compassion and empathy spreads far and wide. Let us remember that even the smallest acts of kindness can have a profound impact on someone’s life. By supporting and uplifting the less privileged among us, we are building a stronger, more compassionate community for all”

The Initiator who said that the non-governmental organization carried out the event despite the country’s economical challenges called on mothers to assist their husbands and also allow their children to acquire skills while studying.

The shepherd of Heritage Glorious Intercessory Prayer Ministry Odò Uro, Ìyìn Ekiti Pastor Sunday Oluwadare said that Mrs Akinyemi took the right step by given back to the needy.

He said “what the woman has done is commendable and I charge other women folds who have the capability and ability to help one indigent or the other to emulate that kind of decision”

An advocate against Gender Based Violence Mrs Folake Jacob educate parents at the event on the need for them to stop female genital mutilation.

She expressed that cutting part of girl child genetine could cause different health challenges on the girl and also affect her marriage in the future.

“Girl Child should not be Multilated it is not good and it can cause death”

The foundation Moderator Mrs Kikelomo Earnerst urged parents to stop undermining their girl child

Mrs Funmilayo Fadare Who spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries said that the gesture by IGCL met her quest of providing school materials for her daughter.
