Ekiti Election: ZLP Declares support for BAO

Barely 48 hours to Ekiti Governorship election, the Zenith Labor Party in Ekiti State has declared support for the candidate of APC Biodun Oyebanji.

This decision was reached during a meeting of the party members held in Ado Ekiti where the executives and party members unanimously agreed to work for BAO in the election.

At the meeting, the governorship candidate of ZLP Hon. Akin Adeolu said he decided with his people to support BAO due to his antecedents and because the party observed that he meant well for the state.

Also speaking, the ZLP chairman, Mr. Jimoh Shaheed said the party did not join APC but only decided to vote for BAO during the election.

Mr. Saheed Jimoh stated that they decided to support BAO having singled him out as the best candidate among the three major candidates in the race.

He thereby enjoined all the members across the 16 local government to support and vote for the APC candidate in person of Biodun Oyebanji Abayomi in the forth coming election.

Receiving the party members APC publicty secretary Segun Dipe thanked them saying they have taken a wise decision with a promise that BAO will deliver

Dipe stated that for the party to have taken the decision doesn’t portray weakness or lack of political strength.

He said he had been sent to accord the support of the party and to assure them that the decision taken will not be disregard.

It will be seen as sacrifice and will be well appreciated.

He promised them that they would never regret the action taken.

He also appeal to them to stay on their promise.
