Protesters Storm EU Office to Turn Down Electoral Report

By Akubulu Ngozi

Protesters have reportedly storm the European Union, EU Embassy Office in Abuja to turn down the Union’s Report on the 2023 Presidential Election.

This is coming after the EU in a report disseminated earlier this month, faulted the 2023 General Elections as violence oriented, killing and vote purchasing.

Recall that, the Federal Government reacting to the message through a release by the Special Adviser to the President, Dele Alake, said that, ” It is also gratifying that the electoral umpire, as an institution that is open to learning and continuous improvements, has also committed to taking on board more ideas, innovation and reforms that will further enhance the integrity and credibility of our electoral process.”

However, the one time Kaduna Central Senator, Senator Shehu Sani via his Official Twitter Account @ShehuSani frowned at the protest, describing it as appalling.

He said, “The protest in the front of the EU Embassy in Abuja over the election report is a hollow and futile noises of conscienceless Abuja protest merchants. They are masquerades of the decadence in our country. The EU report is a compass that should guide us to perfect our system.”
