Tinubu Seeks China’s Support to Boost Development

…as China Presents Blueprint For Progression

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sought the support of China towards investing in the country to enable his administration boost development and renew hope for the country.

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume, said this while receiving the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Cui Jianchun and his delegation in Abuja, as confirmed on his Twitter handle, @OfficialOSGF.

As gathered by the Nigeria Television Authority, NTA, Akume said, “Nigeria got a soft loan from your country (China) and carefully invested in rail transportation and road transportation. The differences are becoming quite clear. And we expect more investments, and I believe that is why you are here with your businessmen as well. Any assistance you are giving us, we will step up because of the desire of the present Government to do a lot. We will be expecting support from you from time to time.”

He also called on the Chinese government to open chances for scholarships to enable more Nigerians to study in the Asia Country.

Earlier, the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Cui Jianchun, who presented three documents on a strategic blueprint for Nigeria’s development to the SGF, said China will support the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu with the development strategies that would progress the country.
