Onimeko Congratulates Tinubu, Dapo Abiodun , advocates for new Nigeria .

The Traditional ruler of Imeko Kingdom, in Imeko-Afon local government area of Ogun state, Oba Benjamin Alabi Olanite,Akanku IV, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his inauguration as the President of Nigeria.

On May 29, 2023, President Bola Tinubu was sworn-in as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the 16th head of state after winning the general election on February 25,2023.

This statement was contained in a congratulatory message issued by Oba Olanite on Wednesday 14 June, 2023 in Imeko, to felicitates with the President,Governors and newly inagurated sworn-in members of the 10th National Assembly.

The Traditional ruler extended his congratulatory message to Senator Godswill Akpabio and Honourable Tajudeen Abbas, for emerging the Senate President of the 10th Senate and the Speaker of the 10th House of Representatives respectively.

Akpabio scored 63 votes to defeat his closest rival, senator Abdulaziz Yari from Zamfara State, while Abbas polled 353 votes,to beat his rival and former Deputy Speaker, Ahmed Idris Wase.

The Onimeko of Imeko seized the opportunity to congratulates Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State on his successful inauguration on May 29,2023.

Oba Olanite who believes Nigeria is back on the right track considering the track records of leaders elected, also congratulates Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, representing, Ogun West Senatorial District at the Red Chamber for his successful inauguration into the 10th Senate.

He said the emergence of Senator Adeola at the February 25, 2023 National Assembly election had demonstrated his good track record and integrity.

Also the Monarch congratulates Honourable Gboyega Nasir Isiaka, representing Egbado North and Imeko-Afon Federal constituency at the 10th House of Representatives and Honourable Abdul Jemili Akingbade representing,Imeko/Afon constituency at the Ogun State House of Assembly,for their successful inaguration as lawmakers.

Oba Benjamin Olanite advised the lawmakers to focus on their constitutional responsibilities and make laws that would alleviate the suffering of Nigerians.

“As you set forth on your legislative endeavors in the next four years, I urge you to always put Nigerians first in all that you do and protect the integrity of the legislative institution.
“I wish you all, Distinguished Senators and Honorable Members, huge success as you work to serve our nation and it’s great people”, he said.
