The Senate President, Senator Ahmad Lawan, has agreed to support the emergence of Senator Godswill Akpabio as the next Senate President.
This was disclosed by the Digital Media aid to former President Muhammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmad.
Bashir who revealed this via his Twitter handle, @BashirAhmaad, said Ahmad concurred after meeting with Tinubu.
“Barely 24 hours before the inauguration of the 10th National Assembly, the current President of the Senate, Sen. Ahmad Lawan, after a meeting with President Bola Tinubu, agreed to work for the emergence of Senator Godswill Akpabio as Senate President,” Bashir said.
Also, Roundoffnews, in another report, has confirmed that Senator Orji Kalu and other Southeast Senators have thrown their support to Akpabio.
