…I will not let you down…Olatunde
The State Executive Council of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE, across the 16 local government and four boards in Ekiti State have unanimously passed a vote of confidence on the leadership of the State Administrative Council, SAC of the Union led by comrade Oluseyi Babatunde Olatunde.
The State Executive Council members also unanimously endorsed all members of the SAC for a second term of 4years in office.
These decisions were part of resolutions reached during a meeting held at the NULGE secretariat, Ado-Ekiti today 6th June 2023 at the Nulge Secretariat.
Addressing newsmen after the meeting, the coordinator of the chairmen and secretaries across the state which formed the SEC, Comrade Adedayo Fasiku told journalists that the decision to endorse the Olatunde led administration was based on his outstanding performances within the last 4years.
According to comrade Fasiku, Comrade Olatunde and other State Administrative Council members have shown rare leadership skills and commitment to the development of the Union.
He explained that during the administration of Comrade Olatunde, the Union maintained a cordial and healthy relationship with government a development he said gave the Union better opportunities to attract lots of benefits and attention from government.
He noted that a second term opportunity for Comrade Olatunde and his executive members would give them the platform to consolidate on the already achieved successes and perfect some of the projects at hand.
Fasiku appealed to the state leadership not to be carried away by the second term syndrome but continue in the high tempo towards taking Ekiti NULGE to an enviable height.
The Coordinator who is the chairman, Ekiti East branch of NULGE, promised the readiness of all chairmen, secretaries and other branch executive in all the chapters across the 16 local government and four boards in the State to continue to support their leadership towards realizing the goal of achieving the best for all local government workers in Ekiti State
Responding on behalf of the SAC members, NULGE president, Comrade Oluseyi Olatunde thanked the SEC members for the great opportunity to serve again with a promise to justify the confidence reposed in him.
