New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, Senator-elect, Kano South Senatorial District, Suleiman Kawu, has flagged his support for the All Progressive Congress, APC, Yari Abubakar as Nigeria’s 10th Senate President.
He made this known during an interactive session in News Arise today.
According to him, his support for Yari is based on his political partnership with Yari, which according to him, should not be restricted by party differences.
He said, “Everyone has equal right to solicit for support regardless of which party he belongs, whether the minority party or the majority party.
Therefore, it is not an issue of NNPP, APC, or PDP; it is an issue of sufficiency of one another. I am supporting Yari because we are business partners, and you all know that politics is a business of interest. Therefore we, with like mind in the 10th Senate, have decided to choose Yari as the 10th Senate President.”
