59 years Old seeks assistance as fire razed house

A four room building belonging to a 59 year old woman, Mrs Bosede Afolabi has been razed to the ground by fire.

The structure located at Egbe-Odo, Ijesa Isu Ekiti in Kajola Local Council Development Area of the state was said to have been burnt by her husband.

When our reporter visited the scene of the disaster sympathizers were consoling Mrs Afolabi who is set to retire from active service next year.

The victim who is a staff of Kajola Local Council Development Area was in a sad mood and shedding tears during the visit.

Narrating her ordeal in the hands of her husband, Mrs Afolabi said that the matter happened around 11 in the evening when most of the people had slept.

She said all efforts to stop her husband from perpetrating the dastardly act by Chiefs in the Quarter proved abortive.

According to her effort by people of the community to put out the fire was not successful.

Mrs Afolabi in an emotional laiden voice said that the building was all she had laboured for over the years calling on the government and spirited individuals to come to her aid in rebuilding the house.

The Chairman of the LCDA Chief Ojo Adebayo described the incident as evil considering what woman went through in building the house.

He appealed to well to do Nigerians and both FEMA as well as SEMA to assist Mrs Afolabi without further delay as we approach raining season.

As at the time of filling this report the perpetrator of the dastardly act Mr Ahmed Sanni-Ojo is currently in custody of the Police in Ikole Ekiti.
