A member of the House of Representatives, Akinlayo Kolawole, has formally obtained his nomination form to seek a second term representing Ekiti North Federal Constituency II Moba, Ilejemeje, and Ido/Osi in the 2027 general elections.
Speaking with journalists shortly after picking up the form, Akinlayo expressed strong confidence of victory, hinging his optimism on his legislative record and grassroots support.
He said his decision to seek re-election was driven by the need to consolidate on achievements recorded in his first tenure and further advance the interests of his constituents.
“According to him, my time in office has been marked by impactful representation, constituency projects, and advocacy for policies that promote development.”
Akinlayo cited widespread support from party members and the electorate as a key factor in his bid, promising to intensify efforts on critical issues affecting the district.
He listed infrastructure, youth empowerment, and economic growth as priority areas if re-elected.
