A governorship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Otunba Olugbenga Peter Obafemi has postponed the much anticipated public declaration ahead of the 2026, governorship election.
The programme already scheduled for Wednesday has been postponed to August.
According to a statement by the Head of his Media Team, Idowu Adelusi all inconveniences are regretted.
It reads: “This is to inform the general public, party stakeholders, and our esteemed supporters that due to certain strategic developments, the official declaration of Otunba Olugbenga Peter Obafemi for the Governorship of Ekiti State under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been rescheduled.
“The new date for the official declaration is now Tuesday, 5th August 2025, which will also coincide with Otunba’s birthday which is a symbolic moment to renew his personal commitment to the service of Ekiti State and her people.
“Details of all build-up activities, including empowerment programmes and media engagements, will be communicated in due course.
“We deeply regret any inconvenience this adjustment may cause and appreciate your continued support, prayers, and solidarity as we work toward a truly people-driven campaign.
