

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Ikere-Ekiti Branch on Friday drawn the curtain on the 2025 Law Week with Dinner Night and awarded some stakeholders for their outstanding performance and contribution to the legal profession.
The awardees included the Lawmaker representing Ilejemeje Constituency at the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Hon Iyabo Okieimen, former Ikere-Ekiti NBA chairman, Michael Afolayan, among others.
Speaking with journalists in Ikere-Ekiti, Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Ogunwusi, represented by the Agbolu of Agbaje, Oba Adebowale Adekunle implored legal practitioners to be forthright and form a formidable team, saying this would enable them to fight for a common goal in the government arena.
Hon Okieimen appreciated the branch for the recognition and urged lawyers to uphold the tenets of the legal profession by rendering selfless services to the society and ensure that justice is not denied.


The NBA Chairman, Ikere Ekiti Branch, Temitope Kolawole said the law week has enabled the branch to identify how to rebuild public confidence in the justice system in order to serve the people well.

Former NBA Chairman, Ikere Branch, Michael Afolayan also expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the law week, urging Lawyers to keep the flag flying by intervening in citizens’ matter for the betterment of the society.
