15th Edition: Residents, Fitness Enthusiasts Applaud ‘Fit for BAO, Fit for Life’ Initiative in Ekiti

Residents and fitness enthusiasts in Ekiti State have commended the 15th edition of “Fit for BAO, Fit for Life” initiative championed by the State’s Chairman of Ekiti Sports Commission, Hon. Sunday Ola, describing it as a commendable effort aimed at promoting healthy living and community engagement.

The monthly fitness exercise, which commenced in October, 2024, in Ado-Ekiti brought together participants and attracted extolment from several attendees who noted that such initiatives help encourage physical wellbeing.

One of the participants, Abiodun Olubunmi Mercy, lauded the initiative and commended the organisers for creating an avenue that encourages people to prioritise their health through regular exercise.

A Baseball Coach, Oluwafemi Aina said he attended the event specifically because of the fitness exercise, noting that activities like this help individuals maintain balance in their lives.

According to him, engaging in physical exercise is important because it helps bring together the spirit, soul and body, thereby promoting overall wellbeing.

A fitness enthusiast, Abbey Bobo, also expressed appreciation to Sunday Ola and Governor Biodun Oyebanji for prioritising the initiative.

He described the programme as a positive step toward improving the wellbeing of residents, while also expressing support for the governor’s second term bid.
